Rajasthan CET 12th Level Online Form 2026: Read These Strict Board Rules Before Applying

Leave a Comment / By Rahul kumar / Updated on June 27, 2026

Rajasthan CET 12th Level Online Form 2026 :- Are you preparing for government jobs in Rajasthan after passing your 12th board exams? If yes, then the Rajasthan CET (Common Eligibility Test) Senior Secondary Level 2026 is the most critical step of your career right now.

Many students make the mistake of treating CET as just another regular exam. The reality is quite different. The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has made CET a mandatory qualifying test. Think of it as a “Master Key”—without clearing this test, the doors to 14 major government recruitments, including Rajasthan Police Constable, LDC Grade-II, Forester, and Hostel Superintendent, will remain completely closed for you.

While the last date to apply is 23rd July 2026, filling out the form this year is not as simple as before. The board has introduced some highly strict and unforgiving rules. From the newly updated OTR (One Time Registration) process to the mandatory ‘Live Photo’ capture, even a small careless mistake can lead to form rejection or a permanent block on your SSO ID.

In this detailed guide, we will break down the hidden rules of the official notification, the heavy penalty system, and the safest step-by-step process to submit your application without any errors.

Rajasthan CET 12th Level Online Form 2026 – Important Dates

Missing a deadline in RSSB exams means losing an entire year of preparation. Below is the official schedule for the CET 2026 online form process:

EventImportant Date
Online Application Last Date23rd July 2026 (till 11:59 PM)
Last Date for Fee Payment23rd July 2026
CET 12th Level Exam DateTo be notified by the Board

Why You Should Not Wait for the Last Date

As per past trends, the Rajasthan SSO (Single Sign-On) portal faces massive server crashes and technical glitches during the last 3-4 days of the application window. Since hundreds of thousands of students try to apply at the same time, the payment gateway often gets stuck. Therefore, we highly recommend that you complete your registration, OTR fee payment, and form submission well before 23rd July 2026. If your payment gets stuck on the last day, the board will not give you any extra time.

Application Fee Details (One Time Registration – OTR)

The Rajasthan Government has implemented a highly beneficial One Time Registration (OTR) system. This means you only have to pay the examination fee once in your lifetime. After paying this OTR fee, you will not have to pay any application fee for future RSSB or RPSC exams.

Warning: Please select your Category (General/OBC/SC/ST) very carefully while paying the OTR fee. Changing your category later is a very complicated and lengthy process.

CategoryOTR Application Fee
General / Unreserved / Creamy Layer (OBC/MBC)₹600/-
Non-Creamy Layer (OBC/MBC) / EWS / SC / ST₹400/-
Specially Abled Persons (PwD)₹400/-

Note: The fee can only be paid online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or E-Mitra Kiosks. Cash payments are not accepted.

5 Strict Board Rules You Cannot Ignore (Must Read)

The RSSB has completely changed the way exams are conducted and forms are filled to stop cheating and dummy candidates. If you are filling out the Rajasthan CET 12th Level 2026 form, you must strictly follow these 5 new rules. Ignoring them can lead to a permanent ban or heavy financial penalties.

Rule 1: The ‘Live Photo’ System (No Old Photos Allowed)

You can no longer upload an old studio photo. The board has introduced a Live Webcam Photo system. While filling out the form, your device’s camera will turn on.

  • You will get a 5-second timer on the screen.
  • You must blink your eyes 2-3 times while clicking the photo to prove you are a live human being.
  • Do not wear sunglasses, caps, or masks. Make sure the background is clean and there is enough light on your face.

Rule 2: The OTR Block Penalty (Do Not Skip the Exam)

Earlier, students used to fill out the form and easily skip the exam if their preparation was not good. Do not do this anymore!

Under the new rules, if you apply for the exam and remain absent (missing 2 exams in a financial year), the board will permanently block your SSO ID and OTR profile. To unblock it and apply for future jobs, you will have to pay a heavy penalty (fine). Only apply if you are seriously going to attend the exam.

Rule 3: The 5th Option (Option ‘E’) in OMR Sheet

When you sit in the exam hall, your OMR sheet will have 5 circles (A, B, C, D, E) instead of 4.

  • If you do not know the answer to a question and want to skip it, you must fill the 5th circle (Option E) which means “Question Not Attempted”.
  • If you leave all 5 circles completely blank, 1/3 marks will be deducted as a penalty.
  • Warning: If you leave more than 10% of the questions completely blank on the OMR sheet, you will be disqualified from the exam entirely.

Rule 4: Correction Window is Very Limited

Do not make spelling mistakes! You cannot directly change your Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth (DOB), or Gender in the online form once submitted.

The form fetches these details directly from your Aadhaar Card or Jan Aadhaar Card. If there is a mistake in your name, you have to first update your Aadhaar/Jan Aadhaar and then fetch the data again in your OTR profile. This takes weeks, so please be careful.

Rule 5: Correct Format for Thumb Impression & Signature

Your application can be rejected if your signature is blurry. Take a clean white A4 paper, draw a box, and do your signature using only a Black or Dark Blue pen. Along with the signature, you also need to upload a clear scan of your Left Thumb Impression in the required size format.

How to Apply for Rajasthan CET 12th Level Online Form 2026

Do not be afraid of the strict rules. If you follow these simple steps, you can fill out your application safely and securely without making any mistakes:

  • Step 1: Go to the Official SSO Portal – Open your browser and visit sso.rajasthan.gov.in. Log in using your SSO ID and Password. (If you don’t have one, click on ‘Registration’ to create a new SSO ID).
  • Step 2: Open Recruitment Portal – After logging in, you will see a dashboard with many apps. Click on the ‘Citizen Apps (G2C)’ icon, and then select the ‘Recruitment Portal’ app.
  • Step 3: Find the CET Link – On the ongoing recruitment page, look for “Common Eligibility Test (Senior Secondary Level) 2026” and click on the ‘Apply Now’ button next to it.
  • Step 4: Complete OTR & Pay Fee – If you are a new user, you will be redirected to the OTR (One Time Registration) page. Fill in your basic details, verify your Aadhaar, and pay the one-time fee according to your category.
  • Step 5: Fill Educational Details – Once the OTR is done, the main application form will open. Carefully enter your 10th and 12th board roll numbers, passing year, and percentage.
  • Step 6: Capture Live Photo & Upload Docs – Allow the website to access your camera. Look straight into the camera, blink your eyes a few times, and capture the ‘Live Photo’. After that, upload the scanned copy of your signature and left thumb impression.
  • Step 7: Final Submit & Print – Review the entire form carefully. If everything is correct, click on ‘Final Submit’. Make sure to download and print the final application form (with the generated Application ID) for your future reference.

Q2. What will happen if I leave a question blank on the OMR sheet?

Q3. Can I upload an old passport-size photo in the application form?

No, old studio photos are strictly banned. You have to capture a ‘Live Photo’ using your mobile or laptop webcam while filling out the form.

Q4. What is the age limit to apply for Rajasthan CET 2026 (12th Level)?

The minimum age limit to apply is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 40 years. However, students belonging to reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, EWS) will get age relaxation as per Rajasthan government rules.

Q5. What will happen if I fill the form but do not go to give the exam?

The marks or scorecard of the Rajasthan CET (Senior Secondary Level) will be valid for exactly 1 year from the date the official results are declared by the board.

Q8. Will the board extend the last date (23rd July 2026) for the online form?

Usually, the board does not extend the deadline. The SSO portal server often crashes during the last 2-3 days due to heavy traffic. Therefore, you are strongly advised to complete your payment and submit the form well before 23rd July 2026.
